TES/B - Today's Session
1- Recap on the differences between the movie and the text (trace écrite sur les différences en général entre l'écrit et la vidéo)
2- Methodology : How to give an oral presentation of a document (descriptif des parties à respecter incluant l'introduction avec problématique, le développement avec transitions entre les parties, et la conclusion)
3- Group work on 3 questions :
a- What can you say about the evolution of the parents' feelings throughout the extract?
b- What is probably the intention of the author? What does he possibly denounce?
c- Do the advantages of genetic manipulation outweigh the risks?
4- Gathering of the information in class on the first question and notes written on transparency films for an easier correction next time.
NB: Next time, we'll finish the study of this text on genetics and you'll have a both a comprehension test and essay to take on the following Monday and Tuesday.
